Today was very special for me as a grandparent. I was viewing my daughter-in-law's blog and saw where my son Aaron had a date night with each boy. He is taking them to a NBA game there in San Antonio where the Miami Heat and Utah Jazz will be playing the Spurs. It just reminded me what an outstanding father he is to his sons. I always stand just a little in awe of how great my children have become as parents. This grandfather feel so grateful that these wonderful people have been in my life. Life is not about things, but moments that will carry on in those we touch with our love and being.

Moments

There are moments in every life that define who we are; moments of decdision or transition, of epiphany, tragedy or triumph. The Lessons we choose to take away from such times become the building blocks of character, maybe even the cornerstones of legacy. And while it's wonderful to be able to look back and recognize the very blink in which an opportunity is born, it's more wonderful still if we can appreciate it in real time, while it unfolds.
